TURA, Jan 7 � One hardcore cadre of the ASAK militant group surrendered today before the West Garo Hills police in the Tura police station.
The 23-year-old Breni Ch Marak, who was under the command of one Khatep, in the North Garo Hills, laid down arms to the police in Tura. The cadre surrendered with one 7.65 pistol, two magazines, eight live ammunition and a wireless set. Interrogation of the surrendered cadre is currently on, police said.
