ITANAGAR, Aug 3 - With the detection of 26 more COVID-19 positive cases on Sunday, the total number of confirmed cases in Arunachal Pradesh has gone up to 1,698.
According to a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services here, 27 positive cases were released on the day, raising the tally of discharged cases to 996. The State�s active cases stand at 699, while three persons have already died of the viral infection.
Out of the 26 new cases, eight were reported from Itanagar Capital Complex, six from Lohit, four from East Siang, three from West Kameng, two from East Kameng, and one each from Changlang, Lower Dibang Valley and Leparada.
Among the eight Itanagar Capital Complex cases, three each were confirmed in Naharlagun�s Polo Colony Tri-junction and G-extension and its adjoining areas, and one each recorded from Dokum Colony and Model Village.
While all Lohit cases are returnees, detected by RDT-Ag test in quarantine facility (QF), two of the four cases in East Siang are healthcare workers and one is a teacher.
Out of three West Kameng cases, one is a returnee and two are truck drivers detected by RDT-Ag at check gate, whereas both cases of East Kameng are returnees from Bihar.
The Changlang case was detected at Bijoypur under Bordumsa while the Lower Dibang Valley one is a returnee from Uttar Pradesh detected in quarantine facility and the Leparada case is also a returnee from Bihar detected by RDT-Ag in quarantine facility.
