Arunachal reports 84 new COVID-19 cases

ITANAGAR, Oct 31 - Arunachal Pradesh on Friday reported 84 new COVID-19 cases, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 14,752.

The State also recorded 154 recoveries on the day, pushing the number of recovered cases to 12,777, according to a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services here.

The Itanagar Capital Complex reported 37 of the fresh cases with 20 of them being prisoners of the District Jail, Jully (Itanagar). Anjaw registered six cases. Five cases each were recorded in Upper Subansiri, West Siang, Namsai and Upper Siang.

Lohit and Siang registered four cases each, and East Siang and Tirap three each. Changlang, Tawang, Kamle, Longding, Lower Subansiri, Papum Pare and West Kameng recorded one case each.

Fifty of the new cases have been found to be asymptomatic and 34 symptomatic, according to the bulletin. Of the total cured cases, the Itanagar Capital Complex accounted for 54, followed by East Siang (30) and West Siang (24).

The State currently has 1,938 active COVID-19 cases, coupled with 37 casualties.
