Arunachal recalls nine Maggi variants

ITANAGAR, June 6 � Arunachal Food Safety Commissioner has directed all distributors, wholesellers and retailers of nine Maggi variants in the State to recall them with immediate effect.

The Commissioner in an order today advised the consumers not to consume the Maggi Noodles (9 variants) till further communication from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).

The order was issued after the FSSAI directed Nestle, manufacturer of Maggi to recall all nine variants of noodles with immediate effect, an official communique said today.

AIZAWL:Mizoram Government will ban import and sale of Maggi in the State, Joint Director of the Health department Lalsawma said today.

Lalsawma said that the ban came after the Food Safety and Standard Authority of India (FSSAI) declared the product as injurious to health. The order would be issued on Monday by the Food Safety Commissioner, he said. � PTI
