ITANAGAR, Dec 17 - GOC of 3 Corps Lt Gen Anil Chauhan today met Arunachal Governor Brig BD Mishra (Retd) here on Saturday and discussed Sino-Indian border security in the State and welfare measures for the locals in the border areas, an official release said.
The Governor, while appreciating the services rendered by the troops of the Dimapur-based 3 Corps, urged on continuing the welfare activities rendered by the Army jawans for the villagers, the release said.
The GOC assured the Governor that the armed forces would continue to defend every inch of the country�s territory and reach out to the local population and maintain cordial relationship with them through awareness campaigns, health camps and educational initiatives, the release added. � PTI
