Arunachal Guv, CM greet people on Moh-Mol, Gumkum-Gumpa

ITANAGAR, April 24 - Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) and Chief Minister Pema Khandu today greeted the people of the State on the occasion of Moh-Mol and Gumkum-Gumka festivals, being celebrated by the Tangsa and Puroik communities respectively. They expressed the hope that the twin festivals would usher in harmony, amity and prosperity in the State.

The Governor, in his message, said that every community in the State maintains its identity through its traditions and festivals. Though the festivals are diverse, the spirit behind them is one � peace and amity.

In his message, Khandu said: �I wish my Tangsa brothers and sisters on the joyous occasion of Moh Mol that marks the end of the sowing season and the end of toil and labour in the fields.�

In another message, the Chief Minister congratulated members of the Puroik community on the occasion of the Gumkum-Gumpa festival.
