Arunachal Guv calls for safety of frontline workers

ITANAGAR, March 26 - The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd), has advised the State Government to take necessary measures for the safety and security of frontline workers, including doctors, nurses, paramedics, police personnel and others engaged in essential services amid the lockdown imposed by the Centre to contain the novel coronavirus menace. He also stressed the need for necessary quarantine of people returning from COVID-19-affected places.

The Governor has also been monitoring the proper implementation of the ongoing lockdown and the precautions being taken against the viral disease in the State. He has personally discussed with deputy commissioners of all districts and heads of State Police, the arrangements being made to prevent spread of novel coronavirus. He has also reviewed the position and management of essential commodities for people in every district.

Appreciating the district administrations and the police, the Governor advised them to strictly follow notifications with a humane approach. He has directed them to ensure action for medical emergencies.

The Governor urged the people to abide by the directives of the State Chief Secretary. He said that these directives are meant for their welfare.
