Arunachal Governor visits NCC camp at Tezpur varsity

TEZPUR, Jan 12 - The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brigadier (retired) Dr BD Mishra visited the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) Camp of NCC at Tezpur University on Thursday.

He addressed the NCC cadets of the North Eastern region and Uttar Pradesh and asked them to become model citizens of the country and be at the forefront of nation building.

The Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) Camp of NCC at Tezpur University under the North Eastern Region NCC Directorate, Shillong, commenced on January 1 and is scheduled to culminate today.

Among other activities, physical training, basketball, volleyball, talk by the visiting dignitaries, visit to the local Air Force Station, various competitions on debate, group dance, group song, national integration awareness presentation, besides drill had been keeping the 578 NCC cadets constructively engaged.

Major General Raju Chauhan, Additional Director General of NCC, North Eastern Region Directorate, Shillong, who was present on the occasion, spoke about fostering the spirit of national integration amongst the cadets. He was sanguine that at the end of the camp, the cadets would be better equipped to face the world.

The Commandant of the EBSB Camp, Brigadier K Sreenivasa Rao, Group Commander of Tezpur Group NCC, mentioned that the cadets participated with enthusiasm in all the activities of the camp.

Colonel RB Patil was the Training Officer at the camp while Colonel SS Kular was present as the Deputy Camp Commandant.
