Arunachal COVID-19 tally rises to 4,914

ITANAGAR, Sept 6 - Arunachal Pradesh has reported 139 fresh cases of novel coronavirus, pushing its tally to 4,914.

The state also saw the release of 101 COVID-19 patients following their recovery from the virus. With this, the number of recovered/ discharged cases rose to 3,381.

The State has presently 1,525 active COVID-19 cases, coupled with eight casualties, stated a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services here.

Of the new cases, Itanagar Capital Complex took the bulk of the caseload with 56 infections, followed by West Siang with 13. Longding, Papum Pare and Tawang reported eight cases each, while seven each came from Changlang and Tirap, six from Leparada and five from East Kameng.

East Siang and Namsai registered two cases each, whereas one case each was found in Upper Subansiri, Shi-Yomi and West Kameng.

Among the Itanagar Capital Complex cases, as many as 22 cases were reported from the Banderdewa check gate, 20 from TRIHMS Naharlagun, eight from a paid quarantine testing centre at Itanagar, and four from RKMH, Itanagar.

Of the total cases, 123 were asymptomatic and 16 symptomatic, as per the bulletin.

Meanwhile, of the 113 discharged cases, Itanagar Capital Complex continued to remain on top with 21 recoveries, followed by East Kameng with 16. Changlang recorded 13 cured, West Kameng 12 and Upper Subansiri 9.

Lohit discharged eight patients, Tirap and Lower Subansiri six each. Tawang and Upper Siang recorded three cured cases each. Anjaw, Shi-Yomi, Kra-Daadi and Lower Siang released one each.
