Arunachal COVID-19 tally reaches 2,741

ITANAGAR, Aug 18 - With the detection of 40 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, the tally of confirmed cases in Arunachal Pradesh has gone up to 2,741. As many as 85 patients were also discharged following their recovery, according to a bulletin issued by the State Directorate of Health Services here last evening.

The State has currently 843 active cases of infection, while 1,893 people have so far recuperated from the disease. Arunachal Pradesh has recorded five casualties due to COVID-19 related complications so far.

Among the 40 new positive cases, the Itanagar Capital Complex reported 10, West Kameng eight and Changlang six. Four cases were reported from Tawang and three from Papum Pare. East Kameng and East Siang registered two cases each, while one case each was found in West Siang, Upper Siang, Namsai, Anjaw and Tirap.
