Arunachal COVID-19 tally climbs to 16,144

ITANAGAR, Nov 25 - Arunachal Pradesh�s COVID-19 count has gone up to 16,144 as 52 more people tested positive for the virus on Tuesday.

The State also saw release of 55 patients following their recovery, which took the number of discharged cases to 15,091, according to a bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services here.

West Kameng reported 11 of the new cases, while East Siang reported 10, Itanagar Capital Complex eight and Upper Siang six. Two cases each were reported from Changlang, Leparada, Namsai, Tawang, Tirap and Longding, while West Siang, Lower Siang, Anjaw, Lower Dibang Valley and Pakke Kessang reported one case each.

Forty-one of the fresh cases have been found to be asymptomatic and 11 symptomatic. Four of the newly infected cases are military personnel, the bulletin said.

The State�s COVID-19 recovery rate currently stands at 93.47 per cent and the fatality rate at 0.30 per cent.

The active cases have declined to 1,004, which comprises 6.21 per cent of the total caseload.
