ITANAGAR, July 28 - As many as 81 new COVID-19 cases were detected in Arunachal Pradesh on Monday, taking its tally of confirmed cases to 1,239, according to data released by the State Directorate of Health Services here.
On the other hand, 69 infected persons were released following their recovery from the disease. With this, the total number of patients discharged across the State has risen to 574. As of now, Arunachal Pradesh has 662 active cases. Three patients with comorbidities have already succumbed to the virus.
Of the 81 new cases, the Itanagar Capital Complex accounted for 51. With this, the total number of positive cases in the State capital region has risen to 675, including 341 active and 333 discharged cases along with one casualty.
Twelve cases were reported from Tawang, nine from Changlang, four from Tirap, two from West Siang and one case each from Lohit, Lower Dibang Valley and Upper Siang districts.
Of the 51 cases of the Itanagar Capital Complex, 32 were confirmed at the Dokum Colony in Naharlagun and the adjoining area, six detected at paid quarantine facilities and two at the Banderdewa check gate.
As per the health bulletin, 72 cases were found to be asymptomatic and nine are symptomatic. Of the 69 discharged cases, 47 were released in the Itanagar Capital Complex, 10 in Leparada, nine in East Siang, two in East Kameng and one in Longding district.
