ITANAGAR, Dec 19 - The Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee today announced that it would hold a �flag march� with the slogan, �Save India � Save Constitution� here on December 28.
According to an official release issued by the party�s State unit, the decision to hold the flag march was taken in a party meeting, chaired by its vice president Rajen Nani, here on Thursday. The march will be taken out from the Rajiv Gandhi Bhawan, the party�s State headquarters, to the Raj Bhavan here, the release added.
It may be mentioned here that the central leadership of the Congress has asked to hold a flag march with the slogan, �Save India � Save Constitution� at all State capitals under the aegis of the respective Pradesh Congress Committees on December 28, the foundation day of the Indian National Congress.
The flag march aims at registering a strong protest �against the anti-people policies of the BJP government which has resulted in massive unemployment, economic slowdown, unprecedented price rise and atrocities against women�.
