ITANAGAR, Aug 18 -�Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today called on Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi and congratulated him on becoming the Vice President of India.
The Chief Minister thanked Naidu for his guidance during his earlier tenure as Union Minister of Urban Development in helping Pasighat achieve the status of Smart City, and for his cooperation to consider the State Government�s request to get Itanagar under the Smart City Mission. Khandu informed that it is the only State capital in the North East that has been left out.
Naidu advised the Chief Minister to work dedicatedly for the people and to set examples for other leaders to follow. He expressed his keen interest to visit Arunachal during the launch of DD channel � ArunPrabha.
The Chief Minister was accompanied by State BJP president Tapir Gao, Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Deputy CM Chowna Mein and others.
Earlier�on Thursday, the Chief Minister, in a bid to expand avenues for film making in Arunachal Pradesh, along with Gao, Mein and others visited the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad � the world�s largest integrated film studio complex.
While interacting with Ramoji Rao, head of the Ramoji Group, which owns the Ramoji Film City, Khandu informed about the Film Institute. In response, Ramoji told the CM that he is very interested in working for the NE States.
