Arun Sarma tried to discover mystery of human life: Adil

GUWAHATI, Nov 4 - �In his understanding of human relationships, and the intricacies and subtle aspects of interrelationships between two human beings, between human beings and society, and the relationships with the nation and the universe at large, the complexities of different relationships, there is always a quest within him to know more, and he tried to discover the mystery of human life in his plays,� ace actor Adil Hussain stated this about noted playwright, poet and novelist Arun Sarma, while interacting with the audience during the third Arun Sarma Memorial Lecture on the occasion of the litterateur�s birth anniversary at the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture yesterday.

Paying a rich tribute to the Padma Shree recipient, Hussain fondly remembered his association with the litterateur and said that he felt positively energised each time he met him.

Taking part in the lecture on the topic �My Journey from Assam to America� which was followed by a conversation with the noted drama and cine personality Dr Santwana Bardoloi, Hussain talked about his passion for acting since his childhood and elaborated on his journey from his hometown Goalpara in Assam to the National School of Drama, New Delhi, Bollywood and then to the American soil.

Questions from the audience made the session more interesting. The proceedings were compered by Nayan Prasad.

Earlier, Ochintya Sharma welcomed the audience on behalf of the Arun Sarma Theatre and Remembrance Trust, the organisers of the event.
