Assam Police Recruitment 2022: Over 400 posts available; Know how to apply

Guwahati, Feb 16: The Assam State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) has invited applications for the post of over 400 posts of constable online.

The board has published a notification for the recruitment of Constable (Messenger, Carpenter, UB, Dispatch Rider) in APRO, Asst Squad Commander & Driver (Operator) in Fire & Emergency Services.

Only online applications will be received with effect from 16-02-2022. The last date for receipt of applications will be 17-03-2022.

As per the notification the recruitment drive is being conducted for 470 posts of Constable in Assam Police Radio Organisation (APRO) and 5 posts of Assistant Squad Commander and 12 posts of Driver (Operator) in Fire and Emergency Services, Assam.

Eligibility criteria:

Constable (WO/WT/OPR): 10+2 (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) of 10+2 (Science) examination to apply for the post.

Age:18 to 25 years

Assistant Squad Commander: 12th passed or equivalent (Science) having Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) of 10+2 (Science) examination to apply for the post.

Age: 20 to 24 years

Driver Operator: 8th class passed and must possess valid driving license for HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicles) from recognized Authority (Assam State only)

Age: 18 to 25 years

Application Fee

There is no application fee required.

Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respect will have to undergo the Physical Standards Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET).

Applications must be submitted online through SLPRB website www.slprbassam.in. No other forms of application will be entertained.

Candidates must follow the following steps during submission of online application:

❖ Visit the website www.slprbassam.in

❖ Register in the Portal using valid mobile number. (Note: Candidates are advised to keep the mobile number unchanged until the recruitment process is over)

❖ After successful registration candidates will get an Assam Police Recruitment ID. Candidates will have to apply for any posts advertised through SLPRB by logging in with this ID.

❖ Candidates will register their profile in the application portal once for all. However, the candidature of those candidates will be cancelled who generate multiple recruitment ID.
