Article writing contest for students

GUWAHATI, July 5 - Publication house Aank-Baak is organising an article contest among students on the subject �Kitape Aamak Ki Diye� as part of its efforts to promote the habit of reading books among students.

To be held in two categories, the winner in each group will be awarded Rs 10,000 each. The second and third position holders will get Rs 5,000 and Rs 3,000 each. In addition, the winners will get a chance to give a speech on a book-related topic on the occasion of World Book Day on April 23, 2019, to be celebrated under the aegis of Aank-Baak.

A hundred participants whose articles meet the required standards will also be felicitated with a gift pack of books, a press release said.

The two categories of the contest are from Class IV to X, and from Class XI to bachelor-degree level. There is no word limit for the articles but the writer will have to give a title to the write-up. The students will also have to provide an endorsement certification from the head of the institution or the head of the department. The articles should reach the office of Aank-Baak at Jaswant Road, Panbazar before August 30.
