KOKRAJHAR, Aug 18 - As part of the 72nd Independence Day programme, the Kokrajhar district administration recently organised an art and quiz competition among the students of various schools at BPCM Babyland English Medium High School, Kokrajhar.
The art and quiz competitions were held on the topics, �Swachh Bharat Abhiyan� and �India Freedom Movement� respectively.
Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner, Niranjan Baruah inaugurated the programme in presence of Superintendent of Police, Kokrajhar Rajen Singh, ADCs Prafulla Chandra Barman, Debeswar Bora, Inspector of Schools Jagdish Prasad Brahma, DIPRO Gagan Narzary, teachers and students of various schools.
In the art competition, Janali Daimary of Sister Margarett Nobel School, Mihika Nandi of BPCM Babyland English Medium High School and Therisa Baro of Sister Margarett Nobel School won the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes respectively.
In the quiz competition, a group of four students of Kokrajhar Government HS & MP School bagged the 1st prize and Fakiragram HS School and BPCM Babyland English Medium High School secured 2nd and 3rd positions.
The winners were awarded in the Independence Day ceremonial programme held at Kokrajhar Government HS and MP School playground.
