GUWAHATI, March 25 - The 9th North East State Art exhibition of Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra Society will be inaugurated on April 2 at 11 am. This exhibition will continue till April 30. The works which will be displayed have been selected through a competition that the society has been organizing since 2004 for promotion and development of fine arts in the region.
Out of 377 works which were submitted for the competition this year by 148 artists of the region, 79 works have been selected for the exhibition. Five artists will be honoured with the North East Harmony Award.
