JORHAT, March 8 - An on-the-spot art competition for school children was organized at the Gandhi Park here recently by Sannidhya, a group 1995 batch of HSLC candidates from Jorhat Government Boys� Higher Secondary and Multi-Purpose School.

A press release issued by the group stated that altogether 502 students from various schools of Jorhat took part in the contest, which was held in three categories.

The winners were given cash prizes besides trophies and certificates in a prize-distribution ceremony held after the competition, the release said.

Pulin Saikia, the working president of Sannidhya, presided over the prize-distribution ceremony in which Bidyut Borah and Srishtrishree Rajguru, both judges of the competition, spoke.
