GUWAHATI, Nov 24 � Qualifier Arsav Mohanty of USA caused a major upset in the ongoing ITF Juniors defeating top seed Indian Rajat Maheswary 3-6, 6-3, 7-5.
The ITF championship, organised by the All Assam Tennis Association at Chachal tennis complex here, saw the USA based Assam boy rally to beat the top seed in a convincing way taking the last two sets of the three-set encounter.
In the girls section also, unseeded Spanish girl Carol Augustine Benito upset third seed Indian girl Spurti Shivalingiah 6-3, 7-5.
