TEZPUR, March 9 � The NDFB(P) has come down heavily on the State Government for its double standards.
In an email, the information and publicity secretary of the NDFB (P), S Sanjarang said that after the arrest of its president Dhiren Boro @ B Sungthagra, said the overt double standards of the Government surfaced when Boro was arrested on the false pretext of attending to an unknown registered case by the Gauhati High Court on March 2 last. �He was called over phone by some Pranab Das, a counsel, to attend the High Court for an unknown registered case of 1996. However, Dhiren Boro, the president of the NDFB(P) was unaware of the case as no prior information or summon was sent to him in this regard by the court.
�This act on the part of the Government will not yield good fruit in the long run. The unwarranted arrest of Dhiren Boro is a sub-standard political trick to derail the peace talks. We demand his immediate release�, S Sanjarang said.
