GUWAHATI, May 10 � The 5th Inter School Prize Money Invitation Basketball Championship, organized by Don Bosco Maligaon concluded yesterday.
In the boys section Army Public School, Guwahati won the winners trophy and a purse of Rs. 8,000 defeating host Don Bosco Maligaon A team by 60-50 points in a close match. Host DB Maligaon won the runners up trophy and cash prize of Rs. 4,000. In the girls section Tarun Ram Phookan (TRP) Hindi School Maligaon won the trophy and cash prize defeating SFS, Narengi by 59-35 points.
In the concluding address Fr. Santosh Minj sdb, Rector/Director, DB Maligoan thanked all the participating 25 teams and officials and opined that Basketball is gaining momentum in the North East and our youths and students have tremendous potential to don the national colors.
