Army take 15 State footballers to Pune

GUWAHATI, Nov 8 - The Indian Army, under Operation Sadbhavana, is organising a National Integration-cum-Sports Tour for 15 avid footballers from remote and far flung areas of Assam, which commenced on November 7 with flagging off ceremony at Tamulpur Military Station.

As part of this tour, the young students and footballers will have an opportunity to play against elite football clubs of Pune such as Pune FC, Phoenix, Deccan 11 and Parashuramians coupled with visits to several military, civil and governmental institutions like Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj Stadium, NDA Khadakwasla and Symbiosis Sports Science School.

During this tour, they will also get an opportunity to interact with the best coaches and physio experts from across the nation, an Indian Army release said.
