NILAMBAZAR, Oct 29 - Karimganj Police have busted a gang dealing in arms and ammunition here. Two persons � Burhan Uddin (36) and Abdul Noor Tapadar (33) � were apprehended while they were selling pistols and ammunition in Karimganj town on Thursday. Three pistols and 45 rounds of bullets were recovered from them in front of the Karimganj Municipal Board office near the office of the Deputy Commissioner. The police also seized a Maruti Swift Dezire car (NL 01H 9614).
The arrested duo hail from Nairgram village near Chargula and they have trade links in Dimapur, Nagaland. They were produced in the CJM court on Friday. The court has allowed the remand petition of the police.
