GUWAHATI, May 8 - The president of the Assam Power Lifting Association Kailash Sarma and secretary Kishore Baruah, on behalf of the organisation condoled the death of Subrata Dutta who was the only power lifter of India to be conferred with the prestigious Arjuna Award.
Dutta, apart from being an eminent powerlifter of the country with national and Asian gold medal, was also the secretary general of the Asian Powerlifting Federation and Indian Powerlifting Federation.
Dutta breathed his last at his Jamshedpur residence yesterday after a massive heart attack. He was 79.
