GUWAHATI, Aug 22 - Assam�s Arindam Saikia emerged champion in the Xtreme category at the India Baja 2018 in Jaisalmer while Spain�s Lorenzo Santolino of TVS Racing clinched the title in the Moto category.
Arindam (co-driver Jeevarathinam J) emerged champion with a timing of 5:8:48s while Santolino with a timing of 3:38:46s won in the Moto category.
Riding a TVS RTR 450 at the competition, Santolino now also gets a free entry into the 2020 Dakar Rally. Arindam in his Polaris, also made a mark as a debutant. He said that having to manually navigate through road-blocks and fewer waypoints made this edition of the India Baja more challenging, stated a press release issued here.
