GUWAHATI, March 30 - The Supreme Court of India in a full Court meeting of judges presided over by the Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi has designated a young advocate from Assam, Arijit Prasad as Senior Advocate along with 32 others, a press release stated.
Arijit Prasad did his LLB from University of Delhi and LLM from London School of Economics. He is in his early forties and is the only advocate selected from the North-East for this prestigious position.
Arijit is the son of Bishnu Prasad, Former Minister, Assam.
