GUWAHATI, April 22 - Fr Varghese Kizhakevely, the Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Guwahati, passed away on Tuesday in Kerela after a six-month long battle with cancer. He was 63.
Kizhakevely was an important part of the founding team of the Archdiocese of Guwahati who dedicated his life for its growth and development.
As the Vicar General, Kizhakevely was instrumental in establishing the Archdiocese of Guwahati and playing a key role in nurturing other dioceses in the North East India as well.
