SILCHAR, March 5 - Assam Regimental Centre, popularly known as ARC Shillong won the 30th Captain NM Gupta Memorial Football Trophy beating ASEB Guwahati 1-0 in an exciting final played under lights at the SM Dev Stadium here on Friday.
ARC�s stopper L Rosendro scored the match winning goal in the 34th minute of the match. This is for the third time that ARC Shillong won the prestigious football tournament of the North East. The tournament, which began on February 21 had eight teams including one from Sylhet, Bangladesh. This edition of the Captain Gupta Trophy was held after a gap of five years and was sponsored by the Assam Rifles.
