GUWAHATI, Jan 29 - The Assam Rifles taekwondo team emerged champions in the senior boys category amongst a total of 57 teams which participated in the recently concluded 2nd National Taekwondo Championship held at Pune from January 26 to 28.
The team bagged seven gold and five silver medals in the championship. The championship was contested by 13 State teams. Rifleman Nokdo Tekwa, Rifleman S Biswas, Rifleman W Lemnam, Rifleman Paban Das, Rifleman Md Amjad Ali, Rifleman MB Magar, Rifleman Ravinder Singh bagged gold medal while Rifleman AD Chakma, Rifleman L Khaim, Rifleman L Kima, Rifleman Vikash Sharma and Rifleman L Nanao secured silver medals.
