IMPHAL, July 2 � The 3rd State-level Aquarium Exhibition-cum-Flower Show opened at Manipur Science Aquarium here today.
The five-day exhibition is being organised by Manipur Science and Technology (MASTEC) in collaboration with aquarium and floriculture entrepreneurs.
Inaugurating the show, Secretary MASTEC, Nidhi Mani Tripathi said that nature has blessed the State with abundant flora and fauna which can help generate income.
A total of 55 fish varieties including 22 indigenous and 33 exotic fish, were on display. The State fish Pengba is also being displayed. Besides, a number of aquarium fish varieties were also displayed by private entrepreneurs. More than 100 plant and flower species including dry and cut flowers were also showcased by floriculturists, according to MSA officials.
