PATACHARKUCHI, Nov 25 - People of the entire area around Patacharkuchi MPHC have demanded appointment of a doctor at the Patacharkuchi MPHC soon.
It may be mentioned that Patacharkuchi MPHC is at present running only with a Medical Officer (Ayu). After promotion and transfer of two Medical and Health Officers-1, both the posts are still lying vacant in the hospital. The hospital is situated beside National Highway-31 at Bezkuchi covering a huge area. On an average, around 50 patients visit the hospital per day. People of the area are therefore facing acute problem due to their inability to avail medical facility in the hospital with only one doctor.
Moreover, at present there is no permanent sweeper in the hospital and only one grade-IV employee has been serving in the hospital after the retirement of another senior employee. The MPHC also has a labour room, but due to paucity of doctors, it is lying defunct. The exasperated people of the area have demanded early appointment of a doctor in the mini PHC so that the rural people may not be deprived of medical facility.
