Appeal to uphold dignity of women

GUWAHATI, April 28 - General secretary of the Assam Senior Citizens� Association (ASCA) Baneswar Khound and president of the Kamrup Mahanagar District Senior Citizens� Association Dr Devdas Bharali have in a joint statement appealed to the senior citizens of the city and youths, women and students to take part in a silent procession to voice protest against rape, molestation and all kinds of violence against women tomorrow at 11 am.

The organisers have urged the people to help build up public opinion for protection of dignity and honour of women.
