GUWAHATI, April 6 � Pubali Sangha, a city-based women social welfare organisation, has made an appeal to keep the educational institutions open during the various �Divas� and �Jayantis�.
The Sangha feels that by declaring holidays, nothing much has been achieved. The students fritter their time away during such holidays with very few being aware about the meaning of observing these days. The Sangha is of the opinion that if the students are informed about the �Divas� or discussions are held in the educational institutions on the reason for observing it, the purpose of such Divas will be served better. This was stated in a press release.
