GUWAHATI, April 4 - Senior journalist DN Chakravartty, who is also the adviser of the Assam Senior Citizens Association and president of the Guwahati Senior Citizens Association, in an appeal today, requested 12 lakh elderly voters of 61 constituencies (for the second phase of the Assam Assembly elections) to cast their votes without submitting themselves to any pressures or persuasions from any quarters hostile to the larger interests of the State in particular and the nation at large.
