Apollo Medskills Ltd-KU sign MoU on health education

GUWAHATI, Dec 15 - Keeping up with its commitment to promote industry-aligned, new-age education in the North-East, Kaziranga University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Apollo Medskills Ltd (AMSL) to develop and promote health education and training programmes for the students of the region.

This MoU was signed in the Kaziranga University campus on December 13, by Dr Srinivas Rao, CEO, Apollo Medskills Ltd and Dr PK Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, Kaziranga University, in the presence of dignitaries Rainy Khetan, Director, Kaziranga University and Prof Tarun Kumar, Registrar, Kaziranga University among several others, a press release stated.

The objective and scope of the MoU was highlighted and discussed at the signing, which included the facilitating of two-year management programmes, undergraduate programmes, certificate programmes, nursing-related and other career progression programmes in the field of health, wellbeing and heath management education between the two organisations. Along with the development and delivery of joint academic programmes, the collaboration also explores the expansion of infrastructure for skill development, in which both parties aim to work towards the setting up of centralised hub of domain laboratories, as well as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for achieving educational and training objectives.

Dr Mishra, in his speech, mentioned that this collaboration comes at a very important time where the need of the hour is the expansion of professional health care sector not only in the North East, but also throughout the country. Associating with renowned organisations, AMSL is in line with Kaziranga University�s commitment to bringing exposure, knowledge and job-oriented skill training into the North-East, and helping boost the region�s institutional and technological growth and development, he said.
