GUWAHATI, July 23 - In view of the present financial condition of the State, the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has decided to defer the annual increment of all sections of employees.
The Assam State Power Workers� Union has opposed the decision and submitted a memorandum to the APDCL Managing Director in this regard.
The union has demanded immediate withdrawal of the decision and warned of a massive protest in coming days if the authorities concerned do not take the matter seriously.
