GUWAHATI, Aug 19 - The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has dared Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal to substantiate his allegation that Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is involved in the Louis Berger scam.

The APCC also dared the Union Minister to ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to collect the information on the involvement of the Chief Minister in the scam from the United States of America.

The APCC demanded in a press release that in case the Union Minister fails to prove the involvement of Chief Minister Gogoi in the scam, he should quit politics.

The APCC, meanwhile, urged Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi to institute a high-level inquiry into the death of tea tribe youth Sono Gadi of the Nya Gogra TE in the T&T Army Camp near Gohpur town, while in Army custody yesterday.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, the APCC also called for steps to initiate appropriate punitive measures against the Army officials involved in the incident, adequate compensation to the family of the deceased and to request the Central Government and the Army authorities not to violate the rules of the Unified Command.
