By Correspondent

ITANAGAR, Nov 25 - Former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang has condoled the demise of former Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi. The latter expired on Monday while undergoing treatment for post-COVID-19 complications at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital in Guwahati, Assam.

In a condolence message here, Apang said: The news of the death of Tarun Gogoi Ji, Ex Chief Minister of Assam is like a bolt in the blue sky for all of us. Indeed, his death has created a big vacuum not only for the people of Assam but also for India as a whole, which will not so easily be filled in future.

With his demise, we have lost a great patriot & statesman in our time. Gogoi Ji was a man of an amiable, endearing & towering personality. He also had a strong moral character. He lived as a friend, philosopher & guide for all of us. He had also a rare combination of his nature and every time he had been found in a smiling face and tension free mood. He conquered anger, jealousy and temptation and followed the path of Gandhian philosophy.
