GUWAHATI, March 7 - The Assam Olympic Association (AOA ) team led by secretary general Lakhya Konwar visited Sivasagar and Charaideo districts and met the officials of the district and sub divisional sports associations of the districts.
In the Sivasagar meeting, along with the DSA officials Arjuna Award winning athlete Bhogeswar Barua was also present. The officials discussed about� infrastructure development and improvement of different sports associations affiliated to the Sivsagar District Sports Association. During the meeting Konwar mentioned about �Grassroot Olympic - Mission Talent Hunt� which was mentioned in the Assam Budget yesterday.
He said that the mission will be on track soon.
AOA also promised all possible assistance to the DSAs for development of infrastructure and spotting talents at the grass-root level.
AOA vice president Bishnuram Nunisa accompanied Konwar, an AOA release said.
