SILCHAR, Jan 10 - Subrata Dey, match referee of the controversial Men�s semi final match between hosts Silchar and Goalpara played here on Saturday has been suspended by the Assam Olympic Association (AOA) for speaking to the media after the match alleging misbehaviour meted out to the officials by the organisers, a source in the association said.
However, Dey claimed that he has not yet received any official letter regarding his suspension. �I have not received any letter as yet, � Dey said.
On the other hand, Jadav Paul, member of the organising committee of Basketball event and secretary Balls branch of DSA Silchar has clarified that he was not involved in any argument with the match officials during the match.
