TURA, March 8 A new outfit going by the name of Achik National Wild Animal Army (ANWAA) has begun serving demand notes to businessmen in the districts of West Khasi Hills, North Garo Hills and South Garo Hills. The new outfit has suddenly become the talk of the region due to the Wild Animal tag in the name of the outfit.

According to information received, the demand letters were handed over to police to find out who are behind the creation of the outfit.

Another recently floated outfit, going by the name of Achik Jatna Remikkangipa Kotok (AJRK) has also come for much ridicule like the ANWAA. The outfit became a stock for laughter after it not only spelt the name of Meghalaya as Maghalaya, but had other glaring errors in spelling of headquarter as Hate Coater. The demand note served became a diman pet while the finance secretary became Fineness Secretary.

SP North Garo Hills, JFK Marak said, These are only small time dacoits who are trying to take advantage of the situation and floating outfits to make some easy cash. He added, Most of these groups have only a few members who try to get money through extortion. These are petty criminals.
