GUWAHATI, Nov 3 � State players Anurag Buragohain and Kristi Boro won the boys and girls singles title respectively in the fifth India Club U-12 AITA Championship Series Tennis Tournament.

Anurag also clinched double crown winning both the singles and doubles titles.

In the finals played at the India Club courts here today, Anurag Buragohain defeated his State mate Anuranan Choudhury 6-3, 6-2 in straight sets while in the girls category Kristi Boro struggled past Ishika Chakma of NF Railway 6-3,1-6,10-7.

In boys doubles, Anurag Buragohain and Anchit Gogoi beat Anuranan Choudhury and Pratik Hazarika in the all Assam final 4-2, 4-2.

In the closing function, Hemanta Sarma of Ti Automotive Pvt Ltd, Simanta Sharma of Dainik Janambhumi Group, Dr Gajendra Bharali of Loyan's Bakery gave away the prizes. Tournament Director Gaurav Chowdhury offered vote of thanks in the closing function.
