Anurag Kashyap loved Aamis due to its dark topic

By MANASH PRATIM DUTTA

GUWAHATI, Nov 2 - Anurag Kashyap is keen to promote new content, but it should be exciting and different, says filmmaker Bhaskar Hazarika, whose new film Aamis will hit the theatres on November 22.

Aamis will be the first film to release under the banner of Good Bad Films, the newly launched company of Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Anurag first saw the film in January this year and was very satisfied. He also helped in promoting the film by tweeting about it. We approached him while facing financial difficulties and he agreed, Hazarika told The Assam Tribune on Saturday at the GIFF.

Aamis, directed and written by Bhaskar Hazarika, is produced by Poonam Deol, and includes Lima Das, Arghadeep Baruah, Neetali Das and Sagar Saurabh as its cast.

Speaking about the dark film, Hazarika said, I always choose dark themes because in Assam, very few have worked in this genre. Everything in our surroundings have their own beauty, we just need to explore them. Anurag Kashyap loved Aamis because of its provocative and dark topic.
