Anundoram Borooah scheme highlighted

GUWAHATI, June 4 � There has been a quantum jump in the number of students securing first division in High School Leaving Certificate Examination following the launching of the Anundoram Borooah Award Scheme in 2005 � one of the most popular and successful schemes of the present Government.

On the occasion of completion of 10 years of the scheme, Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi said the scheme has brought about healthy competition among the students� community and changed their outlook and vision towards life. �Access to computers is essential for pursuing higher studies. Also, students connected to internet can utilise the computer as a complete tool to help them in their education,� the Chief Minister said, adding that the scheme would be vigorously implemented.
