Anti-national FB post, Tripura youth arrested from Mysuru

AGARTALA, Feb 24 - Tripura police picked up one Pramesh Debbarma from a hotel in Mysuru in Karnataka for uploading an offensive video in the Face Book immediately after the Pulwama incident. The content of the video was objectionable and considered as anti-national.

Immediately after the post came to notice police registered a case and an investigation found that the holder of the FB account is Pramesh Debbarma of Sonacharanpara, Asharambari under Champahour Police station of Khowai district.

According to police, content of the video echoed anti-India sentiment and amounted to sedition. On investigation, it was revealed that the accused at the moment is staying in Karnataka. Accordingly, a team of police left for Karnataka and arrested the accused from a Hotel in Mysuru on Saturday. It is learnt that during interrogation Pramesh admitted of committing the crime.

Police with the help of their Karnataka counterpart produced the accused before a court in Mysuru and obtained transit remand to bring him to the State.
