GUWAHATI, Jan 4 - A book titled Reading India�s North East, literature, land and people, edited by Dr Garima Kalita and published by MRB Publication, was released at the Guwahati Book Fair on Tuesday.

The book is an anthology of the authors of North East India comprising states like Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur among others.

Critical essays have been contributed by Tilottama Misra, Pradip Acharya, Rakhee Kalita, Garima Kalita, Gautam Sarma, Abanti Barua, Arunabha Bhuyan, Geetam Sarma and many others.

The book was released by veteran journalist DN Bezboruah. The chief guest of the occasion was Prof Upendra Nath Sarma. The guest of honour was author Arup Kumar Dutta.

Other distinguished guests present on the occasion were Dr Anil Goswami, former principal of Cotton College; Robin Goswami, retired HoD of English and Dr Gautam Sarma, the present HoD of English among others.
