ANSS observes foundation day

JAMUGURIHAT, Jan 5: The 48th foundation day of Assam Nepali Sahitya Sabha (ANSS) was observed by Jamugurihat branch of ANSS on January 4 at Gamiripal Natya Mandir with a day-long programme. Dal Bahadur Chetry, a retired teacher hoisted the Sabha flag which was followed by lighting of ceremonial lamps.

A general meeting was held with Neel Bahadur Chetry, the president of Jamugurihat branch of ANSS in the chair. Dr Tilak Sarma, associate professor of THB College graced the occasion as an appointed speaker and briefed about the works, activities and mission of ANSS.

Sal Bahadur Biswakarma carried out the proceedings of the meeting which was attended by Bala Kumari Devi, Hun Adhikari, Sagar Sarma Madhab Sarkar, among others.
