Another plume in BCPL�s beret

DIBRUGARH, June 9 - The Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL) has been conferred the 18th annual Greentech Environment Award 2018 (Gold Category), in the petrochemical sector.

The award was presented jointly by Kamleshwar Sharan, Chairman & CEO, Greentech Foundation along with Rajesh Rajan (Pappu Yadav), Lok Sabha MP, Parimal Suklabaidya, State Minister for Environment & Forest, Assam Pollution Control Board Member Secretary BK Baruah and VP Mahawar, adviser of Greentech Foundation and Director � Onshore (retired) ONGC Ltd, a release stated.

Two officials � Pranjal Changmai, General Manager (Chemical) and Tamagna Ghosh, Manager (Chemical) had represented BCPL to make a presentation in New Delhi on April 30 last. The presentation along with interview reflected BCPL�s commitment towards the environment and excellent performance towards healthy environment in day-to-day activities. BCPL was therefore selected for the �Gold Award� in the petrochemical sector.

The team involved in the submission of application, presentation and interview for the award attended the Greentech Sustainability Conference and Environment Awards 2018 on June 1 at Guwahati headed by Reep Hazarika, Chief General Manager (O&M) and received the award on behalf of BCPL.

The award created a milestone for BCPL in its journey of environment-friendly petrochemical production and commitment toward sustainable social responsibilities as a PSU, the release added.
